On the 7th of June, three accomplished singer-songwriters will be performing uplifting original music in Thames at Richmond Villas.
Waiomu-based father and daughter duo Nur Peach and Dylan Wade are a staple of the Coromandel music scene. Dylan has being performing and teaching on the peninsula and around the world for over three decades. His music incorporates a variety of influences, including rock, funk, reggae, folk and others. Nur released her pop debut album Syncopate last year, written while she was gaining a Bachelor of Music at the University of Auckland. Her singles “Gift From Above” and “Rainfall” have been playlisted by Coromandel’s CFM.
They will be joined by the prolific young singer-songwriter May Love (Majella Siezen), who grew up in the Coromandel area. Majella has just returned to New Zealand after living in Germany. Her music spans multiple genres, including pop, rap, folk and others. She has released multiple singles, e.p’s and an album.
For the past year and a half, Dylan and Nur have directed the residents’ choir at Richmond Villas. The upcoming performance will be held in the Community Lodge at 3pm on the 7th of June. The concert is a public, all ages event and under 18 years have free entry. The three singer-songwriters will perform, both solo and together, a set of original music in keeping with their shared ethos: to uplift, inspire and bring joy to the collective.
