The Undercurrent presents The Miro Holland Jazz Band!
Local musicians Nico Buhne, Ateo Buhne, Evie Patterson, Theo Thompson, and Isaac Randel are brought together by similarly local trumpet player, Miro Holland, to play his most recent compositions.
Miro's new music is all about the mnemonic aspect of English. Unlike other languages, where mnemonics are in the dialect; he reckons it's hidden in its rhythm. He has written a suite of music that through Jazz, and the folk musics of his ancestry, highlights the shared emotions in both the rhythm of music, and the mnemonic rhythm of English.
