Funk/soul inspired Tahini Bikini formed in Pōneke in 2021. Spear headed by lead vocalist (Madeline Taylor) and a talented collective of musicians - Mathew Campbell (Backing Vocals, percussion) Darcy Monteath (Bass), Lennox Grootjans (drums), Alex Scott-Billing (Guitar) Cameron Robertson (Trumpet), Aidan Mcculloch (Saxophone/keys), Chev Fraser (Trombone, keys). With an impressive catalogue of single releases, an 8 track album and much more planned for 2025/26 Tahini Bikini are ones to watch.
Fresh of the back of the North Island leg of their current tour the band is heading south in October celebrating the release of their latest single \\Mother\\ with support from Emily Alice Band.
