Renée Therése is a local country singer and songwriter from Palmerston North. If you’re from Palmy, you’ve probably seen her performing at many key events in our city such as Xmas in Square, NYE in the Square, Relay for Life, and at many pubs and functions in various bands over the past 20 years.
In addition to her cover band work, Renée also writes her own music, and is returning to The Globe Theatre to release her brand new album of original country songs. Bringing her amazing live backing band full of well known local musicians, Renée will perform a mixture of her old and new songs. Her previous album ‘Better With Friends’ spent a few weeks on the NZ top 20 album charts back in 2021, and this is mainly due to the support she received during her last concert at The Globe! Come along to help her do it all over again with her 2025 release!

The opening act, Sophie Toyne, is a 15 year old country artist from Whanganui. Sophie has won several prominent awards in our country music community, including Gore Gold Guitars, NZCMA Entertainer of the Year and a Tamworth Country Music Festival talent quest where she even beat adults. She’s just released her new album Orange Skies which you can check out on Spotify.
