VOOM
with special guest Tom Lark
LEIGH SAWMILL CAFE, SAT. OCTOBER 18
‘’Voom is FUN. Buzz Moller is FUN…you feel as though you’re perpetually in the ending sequence of a 2010s-indie flick (in the best way possible). The guitars carry the emotional core of the songs, and the vocals pull in and out as if adrift at sea.’ Under the Radar
This October - in a one-off seismic event - Aotearoa indie-rock heroes Voom's are going out for a spring weekend blast up at your favourite Northern public ale house, Leigh Sawmill! After rewarding patient fans with their first studio album in nineteen years, Something Good Is Happening, out earlier this year, they're roping in psychedelic folk sensitive cowboy, Tom Lark and his good time band for a bit of a knees up.
Voom’s music spans from emotional, slower tempo heartbreakers to bold indie rock anthems. Frontman Buzz Moller’s lyrics shift from youthful yearning, as in B Your Boy, to reflective introspection in We’re So Lost. Over the years, the band has experienced periods of dormancy, only to resurface with renewed energy.
Don't miss this show, it will be seriously fun there is no doubt about it!
