Waihōpai/Ōtepoti psych-rock reggae trio 'Left or Right' are FINALLY set to record their much anticipated 4th studio album in November/December of 2025!
To celebrate and to help raise funds toward the project, LOR will play 3 Te Waipounamu/South Island shows for their 3 most loyal fanbases over 3 Saturdays in December.
Pioneering a blend of dub-reggae grooves, soaring vocal harmonies, and off-beat lyricism, at times infused with moments of visceral rock riffery, the multi-sensory barrage of Left or Right’s show is not to be missed.
With a reputation for larger-than-life live performances, the lads will be firing on all cylinders fresh from the studio, playing tracks from the new album as well as a selection of classics from their 3 previous LPs: Nuggety, Buzzy & Trippy.
w/ very special guests
ŌTAUTAHI - Frankie and the Teardrops
Born out of sheer desperation to dance on stage like a silly goose, with a full noise hyper fem band painted in pink and all shades complementary, the Teardrops are a fun loving yet rebellious party. They sing and play for all humans, no matter what style, whatever vibe, there’s a song for you and all your pals! Alt pop turns danger disco, the Teardrops have a bad bitch only brass section to send you into the night with hooks that you just can’t get out of your head
WAIHŌPAI - Lachie Hayes & The Tokanui Chainsaw Massacre
A life shaped by a windswept upbringing on a hill country sheep farm, by family, friends, drinks and old classic western movies, Lachie Hayes’ songs take you through a journey of colourful losers, drunken brawlers and romantic crooners. His music is a collision of place and story, emerging as a new wave of alt-country
ŌTEPOTI - Mads Harrop Band
With lyrical and vocal honesty to the fore, Mads Harrop merges emotional vulnerability with a sharp, rock-driven guitar tone in her music, prominent in her previously released single 'Hiding In Colour'. Citing the likes of AK79 and 1970’s punk as inspiration, her tracks ring out with the infectiously simple energy of classic punk
