MESH began in 2018 as a queer collective looking to provide a playful space for live experimentation in Te Whanganui a Tara. We’ve finally heeded the call to bring it back to life and are beyond excited to host none other than sonic innovator Lila Tirando a Violeta.
With an extensive and varied output including releases for hallowed labels such as Hyperdub and N.A.A.F.I, Lila has been dubbed “one of the greats of modern electronic music.” As explained in a review of her most recent album Dream of Snakes, “her ability to traverse ambient, industrial, psychedelia, bass, and club music, as well as the various rhythms of her native Uruguay without ever tripping up on any one of them rates somewhere well beyond impressive.”
Lila will be joined by local artists Juniper May, Kolya and TOČKA for a night of all live sets, plus a spatial audio intervention by Metaxis.
