The Senior Citz Social Club Opotiki presents live in concert: The Crumb Factory! The three piece band combine folk and rock sounds with quirky and fun lyrics. In their own words, The Crumb Factory’s ‘alternative sounds dive deep into the cynicism and humour required to deal with the modern world’.

Brian Campbell (vocals, guitars), Scott Casley (drums), and Paulus McKinnon (bass) have been playing the Gisborne music scene for many years. This is their first gig in Ōpōtiki.
Accomplished musician, poet, painter, printmaker, and surfer Brian Campbell tells his stories both through music and animated videos using satire, fantasy and humour.

And there's more: The Crumb Factory will be supported by Nigel Marshall and Susan Ngawati and their band La La Land, also from Tairāwhiti. They'll be playing original material from their latest album 'Shine On'. Nigel Marshall is a seasoned musician, known for his eclectic musical journey spanning over three decades. The album is a musical time capsule which features songs dating back to Marshall's time in Ruatoria. The earliest gem Tūī, penned around 1980 is about the encroaching forestry industry and the damage it posed to the East Coast environment. The most recent song on the album, Hand of God, also talks about the overwhelming effects of cyclones.

Susan Ngawati Osborne vocals
Nigel Marshall vocals rhythm guitar
Ken Powley saxophone
Scott Casely drums
Fiona Cameron vocals
Donald Robson keyboard
