Junchang Zhang is a sound artist, field recordist, and sound designer active in China, the United Kingdom, and New Zealand. His practice explores the intersections of cultural identity, memory, and emotion through sound. Drawing from both local soundscapes and global listening experiences, Junchang investigates how sonic perception shapes emotional and spatial awareness. His works span sound art, film, and animation, and have been exhibited across various cities in the UK, China, and New Zealand, reflecting an ongoing dialogue between tradition and modernity, and between the sensory and emotional dimensions of listening.
