Bees are an indie rock band from Whakatū/Nelson who began playing together after hanging out at Camp A Low Hum 2024. They recorded a few songs in their practice space, and self-released a limited run of 2 of 'em, 'Downtown' and 'Fame is a bee', on 7 inch records lathe cut by Johnny Electric. Music Sucks is an indie rock band based in Whakatū/Nelson. It started in Christchurch in 2011 as Sam Wilkinson’s songwriting project and has featured a rotating cast of musical legends ever since. The current lineup met at an open mic night mid-2025. They released the single Grown Ups in November 2025. Past releases include two albums, Periscope Straws (2012) and Road Cone City (2018), plus the single Wack Job (2020). New material is currently being recorded.
