FriendsAround returns to The Stables for a summer session of deep grooves and live music energy. This time, two of Aotearoa’s most celebrated Drum & Bass artists step up: CHICCORELI & MC TALI.
A musical partnership built on pure chemistry, Tali’s soaring vocals and mic control meet Chiccoreli’s liquid DnB precision to create a sound that’s soulful, dynamic, and made for the floor.
Tali is one of New Zealand’s most recognised voices in Drum & Bass. Discovered by Roni Size, she’s toured the world from Glastonbury to Sun & Bass, released eight studio albums, and became the first woman in a decade to win the NZ Music Award for Best Electronic Artist. Back home, she’s a regular on festival stages including Northern Bass, Rhythm & Vines, Splore, WOMAD, and Shipwrecked where her energy and live vocals have become part of the summer soundtrack.
Chiccoreli, originally from London and now one of Aotearoa’s most respected selectors, is the force behind Liquid Lowdown on George FM, recognised globally as one of the leading liquid Drum & Bass platforms. Over the past decade he’s played alongside Roni Size, Goldie, Andy C, Spectrasoul, Lenzman, Marcus Intalex and LTJ Bukem, names that define the genre.
Together they bring world-class Drum & Bass energy to Friends Around: Christmas Edition, joined once again by the incredible HUDGE, MANUEL BUNDY and DAN PAINE, delivering a full-spectrum night that spans soul, reggae, disco, hip-hop, house and of course DnB.
