Weekly Round Up: Friday 22nd April

Friday 22nd April, 2016 3:51PM

This week in tour news, we were delighted to announced the Eleanor Friedberger of The Fiery Furnaces is heading to Auckland for one show in June with support from local folk darling Aldous Harding. Aussie punks Blind Man Death Stare are coming over for three shows on NZ soil in late May. Dream pop outfit French For Rabbits announced an autumn tour with their labelmate Fraser Ross. And Racing announced a four-date tour for May to celebrate the release of their new single 'Misbehaving'.

In release news, Tiny Ruins shared a song recorded with the one-and-only David Lynch at his Hollywood studios. Wellington outfit Red Sky Blues premiered their kickass debut self-titled album. And we stumbled across an excellent offering from newly emerged psych duo Smokestank Girls. Further abroad, Hope Sandoval And The Warm Inventions shared gorgeous single 'Isn't It True' as they gear up to release a new LP. And the Flaming Lips let loose an incredible version of David Bowie's masterpiece 'Space Oddity', which got mostly thumbs up around these parts.

This week's Caught Live is Flea (of RHCP) delivering an insane version of the American national anthem at Koby Bryant's final game for the Lakers...
