Weekly Round Up: Friday 10th March

Friday 10th March, 2017 2:30PM

Some interesting tour news came through the wires this week. We were stoked to announce that Dunedin icons The Chills are embarking on a 10-date tour around the country kicking off late April. For fans of ol' timey blues, Blind Boy Paxton is coming back to New Zealand soil for two shows next month. New York psych rockers Endless Boogie have lined up an Auckland appearance which is also happening next month. Meanwhile, a bit closer to home, hip hop linchpins Home Brew announced their 'Return From Exile' tour which will see the trio trekking around the country for six dates - sans Auckland. Los Angeles-based artist Andrew Keoghan announced a three-show tour on hometurf. And Auckland's Oscar Dowling revealed plans to release his debut solo album supported by a four-date release tour.

In release news, Lorde let loose the second single from her highly-anticipated sophomore album Melodrama, which is due to drop mid-June. Hip hop artist David Dallas announced the impending arrival of his fourth album, and while he didn't share the album's title he did share lead single 'Fit In'. Recently formed Auckland shoegaze outfit Eyes No Eyes have unveiled their excellent debut single 'On TV', which is already rocketing to the top of the alternative radio charts. Dbldbl dropped his spicy new cut 'Non Stop Home And Away Omnibus', but no word of an album in the works as yet. And from further abroad, Real Estate shared another charming track from their upcoming record In Mind. And Fleet Foxes surfaced from silence to share their epic new track 'Third Of May/ Odaigahara' and announce their long-awaited third album.
