Delaney Davidson's impact on Lyttelton's musical community has been undeniable, with the Aotearoa songwriting maverick cited as an influence on such world class talents as Marlon Williams and Aldous Harding. The hard-gigging artist is returning from his global travels through Eastern Europe and Japan to play a homecoming headline event at Wunderbar in late October, promising tantalising special guests and a "night of trance out thumpa chunking and wailing, spells and magic, dark tales and uplifting spirits." Davidson's creative output over the past twelve months has been mind-boggling – he followed last year's solo album Shining Day with collaborative long players alongside Barry Saunders (The Warratahs) and Bruce Russell (The Dead C), plus he produced the Better Already - The Songs Of Al Park tribute record and contributed to Adam Hattaway's latest album!
