Listen To The Pleasure Majenta's New Collection 'Who Knows What'
The Pleasure Majenta have returned with Who Knows What, six tracks of eclectic excellence drawing influence from post-rock ambience and spaghetti western guitar atmospherics. The varied collection is knitted concisely together by bandleader Lawrence Fergus Goodwin's (Caroles, Goodwin & Kyle) signature vocal delivery – from the chaotic, feedback-laden ‘Bad For You’, to the epic build and clean guitar picking of earlier single 'Vipers Den', the reverb-dense introspection of closing number ‘Married Since Birth’, and 'Swan Song' a track dedicated to sadly departed Aotearoa artist Adison Whitley of David Adison. The opus was recorded by the ex-Tāmaki Makaurau group (also featuring EJ aka LVJ and Sophia Lawler-Dormer) live at Engels basement, Berlin with mixing and mastering duties being fielded by Bost & Gemus of Index Records.
