Watch Marlon Williams And Delaney Davidson Sing 'Purea Nei'
As Aotearoa enters four weeks of lockdown from today onwards, Lyttelton songwriting heroes Marlon Williams and Delaney Davidson have snuck out a gorgeous live rendition of 'Purea Nei'. Shared last night via Davidson's Facebook page, the intimate, slightly shaky single shot clip captures the regular collaborators performing Hirini Melbourne's te reo folk classic in a church in Le Bons Bay, armed only with their voices and Williams' tender acoustic guitar strum (while keeping a respectful distance apart). Davidson's April tour plans were sadly postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak, appreciative fans can feel free to show him their support via purchasing downloads from his impressively diverse back catalogue right here. This is almost certainly the last time we'll see the pair together for a while, enjoy "a Waiata for cleansing the soul and letting go of worry" via Facebook video here...
