Wellington heavy music masters Beastwars know how to deliver the goods, both during Aotearoa's Level 4 lockdown and its slightly untidy Level 3 aftermath. They've followed up the recent online screening of the group's 2018 reunion event at their hometown's San Fran – their first show together in two years since singer Matt Hyde "slayed the Cancer dragon" – with a senses-shattering aural document of the occasion, in the form of new collection Live At San Fran. Recorded and mixed by James Goldsmith and launched on Friday night in conjunction with Bandcamp's fee-waiving initiative, Live At San Fran is the closest you'll get to experiencing the mighty Taite Music Prize nominated band in the flesh for the next wee while, with plenty of rowdy crowd sounds to get you feeling right in the zone.
