Poneke's French For Rabbits have followed Friday's Martin Sagadin-directed video release for their resplendent new single 'The Tunnel', with the announcement they'll at last returning to local stages this month. The songwriting team of Brooke Singer and John Fitzgerald with Ben Lemi (Trinity Roots, Dawn Diver), Hikurangi Schaverien-Kaa (Dawn Diver, Stellarize) and Penelope Esplin (Grawlixes) are playing a very special headline Saturday night San Fran event with support from Ebony Lamb (formerly of Eb & Sparrow), who last month released a sublime cover of The 3D's timeless 'Beautiful Things', recording at home during lockdown for NZ Music Month. With the recent relaxing of Covid-19 restrictions our much loved music venues are starting to open up - and they need our support to get back on their feet and live music humming again. Which is why we're excited to announce an intimate seated show at SAN FRAN for Saturday 20 June featuring ethereal dream-pop band French for Rabbits and special guest Ebony Lamb.
