Michel Gondry Directs Video For New IDLES Single 'Model Village'

While IDLES have already attracted plenty of attention for their forthcoming third studio album Ultra Mono with recent singles ‘A Hymn’ and ’Grounds’, their video for new single ‘Model Village’ definitely deserves a look as it comes from the mind of Michel Gondry — director (and Academy Award winning co-writer) of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and the particularly memorable clip for Stereogram’s  hit ‘Walkie Talkie Man’. An acid-tongued take on small town life, the clip for ‘Model Village’ is directed by Gondry and his brother Olivier Gondry, bringing the UK post-punks’ fiery number to animated life with bucketloads of surreal style — check it out here…
