Don McGlashan & The Others Extra Wellington Show Announced
With tickets literally flying out the door for Don McGlashan's upcoming nationwide tour with his all star band The Others, featuring Shayne P. Carter (Straitjacket Fits, Dimmer), Chris O'Connor (The Phoenix Foundation) and James Duncan, a special bonus headline event has been revealed for lucky Pōneke fans of the iconic Aotearoa songwriter's timeless songs, due to understandable hot demand in the windy city. We strongly recommend you move fast and snap up tickets while they're available, as no further dates will be announced for the co-founder of The Mutton Birds, Blam Blam Blam and The Front Lawn's tour — promising "new songs from his next, soon-to-be-recorded album" alongside a treasure trove of gems from McGlashan's formidably deep back catalogue...

Press release:
With the Wellington show at San Fran now sold out and close to selling-out in Christchurch and Auckland, the announcement Don McGlashan & The Others will perform one extra Wellington show at San Fran on Tuesday 27 October* is the last possible extra date to be added for this tour.
Performing brand new songs from his next, soon-to-be-recorded album, along with plenty of gems from his sprawling back catalogue, Don will play a string of shows with a full band comprising the mighty talents of Shayne P Carter (Dimmer, Straitjacket Fits), bassist/guitarist extraordinaire James Duncan (Dimmer, SJD, Punches) and legendary drummer/percussionist Chris O’Connor (Phoenix Foundation).
"We'll definitely be road-testing an album's worth of new songs, plus stomping purposefully through those parts of my back catalogue that everyone can agree on." McGlashan promises. "There'll also be a lot of loud guitar, although Shayne is an award-winning author now, so he may just want to sit in a plush leather chair on stage, looking thoughtful and taking questions from the audience.”
