Kate Owen Announces 'Not A Proper Girl – Behind The Songs' Film Series
Lyttelton songwriter Kate Owen embarks on a long-awaited launch tour for her dark and majestic debut album Not A Proper Girl this coming October (Alert Level 1 allowing), and today announced a "story-driven accompaniment to her debut album," taking the form of a series of self-directed short films releasing via her website. Entitled Not A Proper Girl – Behind The Songs, each audio-visual work "visually elaborates on the themes of Kate’s long-playing debut, through the exploration of the personal topics that underpin her March release" — including mental health, suicide, femininity, addiction and the commercial modelling of romantic love — digitally realised in collaboration with Emma Cameron (Emma Dilemma / Decades) and Katie Thompson.
