Grecco Romank Drop Single 'Worm Regenerate'

Grecco Romank Drop Single 'Worm Regenerate'

Annabel Kean / Wednesday 25th November, 2020 10:53AM

"Post-empire themed dungeon power techno" three-piece Grecco Romank took a band trip to an old inland Otago primary school recently, where they got thoroughly haunted and tracked nine new songs. Fresh out today, their latest and second ever drop 'Worm Regenerate' is a crunchy, electronic journey into the minds of Damian Golfinopoulos, Billie Fee and Michael Sperring. Granted the trio aren't trapped for eternity at an abandoned school, the maximalist masterminds will infiltrate Aotearoa venues this summer ahead of a January album drop. For those who can't wait, this Saturday they hit Karangahape Road's The Thirsty with Vow Cave, Ex-Partner (who just released a new EP) and Kimmy for a thermo-nuclear Blow On The π event. Familiarise yourself with new single 'Worm Regenerate', explained in depth by the band here:

"The track is an industrial acid ballad about a mutant unionist who forms a toxic relationship with a parasitic organism. The result is a tale of moral degeneration set in our contemporary world's abundant medical waste. It’s one part KLF inspired dystopian techno, merged with a hazy Snapper inspired durge."
