PollyHill Shares New Single 'Mentors'
When PollyHill first laid down the beat on 'Mentors' she started brainstorming who would best suit the "muddy acid bass sound" she'd created, an electronic bed that didn't feel very 'PollyHill'. Then — "Fuck it, I birthed it, it must be PollyHill", so Paloma Schneideman took on the task, taking inspiration from the likes of Arca and Yaeji. 'Mentors' eases in with the similar chill-inducing tones heard in her last drop 'Spooky', before launching into breakneck, double time bars from PollyHill featuring literal tongue twisters. The tail end breaks down into mellow, muted beats, like a mini bonus track with lush synths and a solid cameo in the bridge. Catch PollyHill's hypnotising live show this summer any chance you get, she'll be taking the stage at Splore, Rhythm And Vines, and more...
