Phoebe Rings Unveil Self-Titled Debut EP
On the back of a triumphant tour with Lips and two high-rotate student radio singles, the fantastic Phoebe Rings make this Friday ten times more magical with the release of their self-titled debut EP. Featuring crowd favourites 'Cheshire' and 'Spissky', as well as other-worldly, shimmering cover art by In Joo Park (박인주), Phoebe Rings is the iridescent highlighter on the cheek bone of today. New on the EP, but no doubt familiar to those lucky enough to have seen them perform, are 'January Blues', 'Lazy Universe' and a live recording of 'Ocean' at their Powerstation show supporting The Beths, each delivering new iterations of the dreamy Phoebe Rings experience.
To celebrate the collection, songwriter Crystal Choi and her band of Ben Locke (Sea Views), Alex Freer (A.C. Freazy, Tiny Ruins), Simeon Kavanagh-Vincent (Lucky Boy) and a few bonus extras are putting on a special show at Tāmaki's Basement Theatre next Thursday — preceding their September performance at The Others Way 2021. Find a cosy nook or a window to look out wistfully from, and press play on Phoebe Rings' debut EP...
Phoebe Rings' debut EP is out today as an independent digital release, and cassette via trace / untrace.
