Aotearoa Level 2 Gigs For The Weekend

It might surprise some Tāmaki Makaurau residents (greetings from lockdown day 56) to know there are presently seated shows happening across Aotearoa under Alert Level 2. While we're all eagerly awaiting clarity around the proposed vaccine passport system, plucky artists and venues outside of the super city are soldiering on with the current restrictions, no longer capped at a specific number of attendees but still requiring social distancing and mask-wearing — check out the updated Level 2 guidelines for bars HERE and for events / entertainment HERE.

Highlights for this weekend include The Eastern's fundraising events on Friday and Saturday at Christchurch's Cassels Blue Smoke in support of Hamilton venue The Common Room, plus helmsman Adam McGrath's Sunday gig at Napier's Cabana, Palmerston North's all ages multi-day SwampFest, The Broken Heartbreakers' single release show in Dunedin, Greg Malcolm's album launch at Pyramid Club and more.
