Bub, Ballot Box + More To Play Xmas Fundraiser Show

When a December feels like this one aka the most hectic December of all my 27 years, it's bloody hard to know which events to skip and which to lock into the schedule. Lucky for you, the second annual Silent Night Deadly Night is a no-brainer, stacked with local Tāmaki Makaurau talents and with all the proceeds going to prison abolitionist organisation People Against Prisons Aotearoa. On the bill for this year's all ages show are pop-rock lovelies Bub (featuring a new lineup), garage punks Cold Sweats, surf rockers Coast Arcade, and show organisers / post-punk ABBA covers band Ballot Box. Also taking the stage for emcee duties on the night will be none other than the jolly man himself, Santa Claus. Western Springs College band Ballot Box started a tradition last year with the all ages charity Christmas show Infestive Festive Festivities. Now they’re doing it again, at Old Folks Ass on December 17th.

This year features Ballot Box, Bub, Cold Sweats, and Coast Arcade, hosted by Almighty Lord of Christmas, Santa Claus himself.

This time all proceeds raised are going towards People Against Prisons Aotearoa. Tickets on sale now for $20.

As Auckland is under Red, we’re limited to selling 80 tickets (Controlled access event, i.e. not seated), so get in quick. If Orange is announced in time for the show, more tickets will be released. Vaccine pass required.
