Completing his EP trifecta, Botswana / Tāmaki rapper Phodiso drops Act III in full with final single 'Look'. Hitting the ground running in August 2020 with debut EP Act I, the rising rap star has been steadily rolling out track after track, collaborating with Mueslibeats, Carawei Gao, Zaidoon Nasir, Abraham Kunin and Mazbou Q on his NZ Hot 20-hitting collection Act II, and even featuring on Mazbou Q's debut album The Future Was earlier this year. With each new EP Phodiso has revealed another sparkling facet to his production mastery, and today's five-track offering flaunts a new level of high quality pop / hip hop finesse. Evoking moments reminiscent of Kendrick Lamar with funk instrumentation and female backing vocals on the likes of 'Look' and 'Late', Phodiso delved into the lyrical content behind the EP, saying it's "about trusting yourself to do what you have to do.
