Creators of one of my personal fave local albums from 2021 Accidental Punk, fresh footage has emerged of Tāmaki Makaurau's N.T. Honey performing two scrappy bangers as part of 95bFM's free, all ages Drive Island series. Showcasing 'Run Away' and 'Island', these clips prompt hazy memories of catching the team of Anya Henis, Ducklingmonster (The Futurians) and Jade Farley (Pumice) playing their alternate universe hits in a humble Grey Lynn gottage to a sun-dappled, lawn-sitting audience. With a knack for lyrics that stick in the head (I spotted a 'Suspicious Cat' just the other day), N.T. Honey's Ellen Melville Centre show was evidently just as nifty an occasion.
