We're celebrating our 20th anniversary next year as a staunchly independent music news site, ticketing service and online gig guide, and as a way of saying thanks for supporting UTR over the rough and tumble past couple of years, we've got a special pack of festive loot to giveaway. Whether you've been with us since day one or just discovered the site yesterday, your support means the world to us — ensuring we can keep showcasing Aotearoa's music community with daily music news, interviews, our ongoing Trash Recital video series, photo features, live reviews, playlists and lots more. Emerging from the global pandemic of the past few years, you helped keep us running through turbulent times — for example, at one point in 2020 we were required to cancel / postpone every single event on the gig guide due to nationwide lockdowns — a huge THANK YOU from the UTR team for sticking with us!

Moving into the future: exciting international tour announcements are rolling in on a seemingly daily basis, the site presently boasts more than 250,000 members, local venues are packing out again, and we have some very exciting new features lined up for 2023 (we're not allowed to officially announce yet).
