The Saints '73-'78 New Zealand Shows This Week - Supports Announced
Royalty in the rawkus realm of Australian punk, The Saints co-founders guitarist Ed Kuepper and drummer Ivor Hay honour the spirit of their pioneering group as The Saints '73 -'78, joined by none other than Mark Arm (Mudhoney), Mick Harvey (of The Birthday Party, Bad Seeds), and Peter Oxley (The Sunnyboys). This absolutely gobsmacking ensemble will be touching down in Aotearoa New Zealand this weekend for headline dates in Auckland and Wellington in perfect sync with Halloween, here to bust out classics from The Saints' all-killer late '70s run Stranded (1977), Eternally Yours (1978) and Prehistoric Sounds (1978).
These already majestic occasions are taken over the top by recently announced local guests, lords of Aotearoa garage-punk Bloodbags (whose ripper self-titled debut album is out now) at The Powerstation and the capital's ever-rising post-punks buffcat at Meow Nui — all brought to you by Plus1 and Feel...
