GRRUNK Festival 2025 - New Lineup Announced ft. Jordan Luck, Delaney Davidson, Pieces of Molly, Hot Machine (AUS), The Eastern, Arthur Ahbez + More

Chris Cudby / Thursday 13th November, 2025 2:43PM

Our hyper-accelerated world keeps a-changing and so has this summer's GRRUNK lineup, rearranged and stacked with even more guitar-slinging local acts, including Aotearoa's absolutely iconic Jordan Luck (frontman of The Exponents), who's performing at the festival with Ōtautahi's beloved The Eastern (also playing a set of their own). More southern luminaries who've jumped on board include Lyttelton's multi-award-winning Delaney Davidson and Canterbury heavy riff lords Pieces of Molly, while psych-folk troubadour Arthur Ahbez and his Hot Burrito Boys are joining the convoy from Tāmaki Makaurau to Galatea's Rory's Paddock for the all-day fest.

While earlier announced overseas guests Jenny Don’t & The Spurs, C.O.F.F.I.N and The Gnomes can no longer make it, attendees can still thrash about on the grass to amp-blasting Melbourne rockers Hot Machine. The ultimate collision of garage rock 'n' roll, punk and 'kountry', have a squiz at the updated details for GRRUNK below and plan your road trip to the beautiful Bay Of Plenty...

Press release:

On Saturday 6th December, Grrunk in Galatea will be a rock and roll centre of the universe ….. From 2pm – Rory opens the gates round midday.

Six hours from Wellington …. Four hours from Auckland …. Just under two hours from Tauranga , 12 minutes from Murupara Four Square

Camping with facilities on sight at no charge A variety of Food Trucks from around the North Island Bringing own sandwiches is ok …

The lush green lands of Galatea, hidden turf, bush, forest & terrain in the Bay of Plenty. Rolling plains. Majestic mountain ranges. A locale fitting for an event of note. Locals Gerrard & Rory conjured a plan. Weary of travelling north to the big smoke of Tamaki Makaurau for the killer rock & roll gigs, the scheme was hatched, bring those acts worthy of the effort, to the pastoral jewel in the crown, that is Galatea. Whack a handle on this idea of a festival, something eccentric & easy to remember, ergo “GRRUNK”!

Start mustering a bevy of acts to populate the bill for this Fest. A cabal of riffage, swing, attitude, aesthetic, entertainment that ain’t cut from the usual cloth.
