The Bats Announce EU/UK 2026 Tour Warm Up Show
Soon jetting abroad to soak up fan adoration all around Europe and the UK, Aotearoa indie-rock figureheads The Bats are warming up with an intimate gig at Ōtautahi Christchurch's Space Academy on 28th July. Founded in 1982 and boasting the longest unchanged band membership in local music (please alert us if you know of any longer), the team of Robert Scott, Kaye Woodward, Paul Kean and Malcolm Grant's remarkably resonant songbook — expressed across eleven studio albums so far — continues to win over fresh generations of appreciators. They've recently been spun on influential NTS resident DJ Nabihah Iqbal's radio show and will start their seventeen date tour at Congés Annulés festival in Luxembourg, on a bill including Deafheaven, Mary Lattimore and Horsegirl.
