Even approaching 30 years as innovators of modern rock there’s no sign of the iconic LA troubadours slowing down.

When it comes to modern rock anthems, you’re hard pressed to find a band that constantly delivers hit after hit. Now officially GOLD, last year’s album release, ‘I’m With You’ featuring vocalist Anthony Kiedis, bassist Michael ‘Flea’ Balzary, drummer Chad Smith and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer (making his RHCP studio recording debut) peaked at # 1 on the New Zealand and UK album chart, as well as in 15 other countries around the globe.

The 2011 release was the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ tenth studio album and their first in five years since blockbuster ‘Stadium Arcadium’ in 2006. Last time the band was in New Zealand it was for the first shows at the newly opened Vector Arena back in 2007, and it’s a guarantee that the Chili’s summer concert will be one that draws fans from North and South.

Live praise for Red Hot Chili Peppers

"… playing the part of heroes from Parliament/Funkadelic to Nirvana, the band may be at its genre-bending peak." - Steve Baltin, Rolling Stone

"… it feels like a celebration, but more of who the Red Hot Chili Peppers were than who they have become." - Dave Simpson, The Guardian

"… frontman Anthony Kiedis, still in great shape nearing 50, owns one of rock’s best and most identifiable voices: a substantial but tender tenor when he sings; a rapper of tongue-twisting agility." - Evan Haga, The Baltimore Sun

Whether you’re a fan of the 1990s classics ‘Blood Sugar Sex Magik’ and ‘One Hot Minute’ that helped the alternative rock explosion of the grunge and punk influenced decade or the crispier, more mature and refined albums ‘Californication’ and ‘By The Way’ that saw the band reach their peak, the Red Hot Chili Peppers have fans of all ages.

The band’s latest single ‘Brendan’s Death Song’ currently circulating rock and mainstream radio, follows on from ‘The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie’, and rock anthems ‘Under The Bridge’, ‘Give It Away’, ‘Suck My Kiss’, ‘Aeroplane’, ‘Rollercoaster’, ‘Scar Tissue’, ‘Californication’, ‘Slow Cheetah’ and so many more continue to blast through your speakers.

Simply put, Red Hot Chili Peppers are still one of the biggest and best rock bands in the world today.
