Leading the tour news this week is The Boss (aka Bruce Springsteen) announced just this morning to be heading back to New Zealand (with the E Street Band) for the first time in over a decade.  Also announced this morning was the lineup for Rhythm and Alps 2013 which will be held near Wanaka this year. 

In other tour news from the week,  UK metallers Bring Me The Horizon are heading back to New Zealand in October, Canadian producer Ryan Hemsworth's debut New Zealand show next week (which was almost cancelled) is now happening at Rakinos,  Auckland punks PCP Eagles are taking to the road for the next month celebrating their anthemic single/EP 'I Hate The Mall' and Australian singer-songwriter Matt Corby is heading to Auckland in October for his first New Zealand show.  

In release news, M.I.A's waylaid album Matangi has finally got a released date - out in November 5 via Interscope, Auckland band HDSPNS have announced the release of a new EP next month and will be premiering a track a week on UTR in the lead up,  Christchurch label/collective Melted Ice Cream have released a new split cassette EP featuring Salad Boys and Christian Rock, Sonic Youth's Lee Ronaldo has announced the release of a new album in October via Matador with new band the Dust ( feat. Sonic Youth's Steve Shelley, Alan Licht, Tim Lüntzel), 2011 buzz band Cults have offered up the first single from their second album Static, Pete Doherty's  Baby Shambles have released three tracks from their forthcoming new album Prequel to Sequel out next month,  Warp is set to reissue Boards of Canada's back catalogue on vinyl in October and lastly, ex-Pixie Kim Deal is releasing a series of solo 7" singles and has offered up a video for latest A-side 'Are you Mine' and here it is...
