Monday 13th January, 2014 9:48AM

Mysterious electronic producer Slow Magic has announced a tour of New Zealand this February, including shows in both Wellington and Auckland. The unnamed, masked artist has been making an enviable career for himself with acclaimed remixes of Bon Iver, XXYYXX and Gold Panda - the latter even asking him to join his US tour last year. The upcoming shows are his first in New Zealand and here are the details...

Slow Magic New Zealand Tour
Thursday 20th February, Betty’s (with Race Banyon + Laurier)
Friday 21st February, Cassette Nine (with HIGH H
PS + Special Guests)

Here is a clip of Slow Magic playing earlier last year at Audiotree Live...

Press release:

MUM Club and Beat Mob are proud to present SLOW MAGIC’s debut tour of New Zealand.

Direct from the USA, SLOW MAGIC brings the absolute best when it comes to progressive, beat driven electronic music. The masked man is already a god on Soundcloud, having remixed Gold Panda, Delorean, Bon Iver, Giraffage & XXYYXX. However we are more interested in his live show. Blowing away crowds across North America with infectious tunes and live drumming, SLOW MAGIC can do no wrong despite never showing his face nor releasing his full name or identity. Seriously, it could be anyone… Check this clip out, we dare you to tell us this won’t be fun as hell - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjKiKVK1U6s

Playing Betty’s in Wellington and Auckland’s Cassette Nine, these shows will be the first time SLOW MAGIC has ever played to audiences in New Zealand.

Friday 21st of February - Cassette Nine - with HIGH HØØPS & Special Guests
