PRESS RELEASE:

Ben Howard will play a second show on Sunday August 3 at Studio after tickets to his first headline concert for New Zealand audiences SOLD OUT via pre-sale following an overwhelming response from fans.

The Devonshire musician, a ‘singer-songwriter’ for want of a better phrase, amassed a secret society of fans via the world’s fiercely loyal surfing community and exceeded all of his expectations within a whirlwind two and a bit years.

In 2011 Ben inked his record deal, self-recorded and released his beautiful platinum-selling debut album, Every Kingdom. The year was then mapped out on the motorways and back-roads of the UK, Europe and rest of the world, where Ben toured relentlessly selling out every single show.

Two Brit Awards (Best Breakthrough Act and Best Male Artist in 2013) and a nomination for a prestigious Ivor Novello Award, Ben has mesmerized people at festivals like Glastonbury and Bonaroo, and will arrive in Auckland fresh from the stage of Splendour In The Grass.

Ben’s eagerly anticipated second record has been confirmed for later this year with a new single on the horizon.
