Weekly Round Up: Friday 20th February

Friday 20th February, 2015 12:25PM

In this week's tour news we had Motley Crue revealing the date their first ever New Zealand show, which is a bittersweet announcement as it comes as part of their retirement tour, however as a cherry on top they are bringing shock-rocker Alice Cooper along for the ride. Californian metallers Machine Head are heading this way for two shows in June. In local tour news, Liam Finn has added two South Island dates to his No Mates solo tour. Prog-rock titans Jakob have announced two shows for April before they head overseas to tour off the back of last year's album Sines. And Dunedin-based experimental festival Lines Of Flight have added two American acts to the festival bill.

In local release news, psychedelic six-piece Shacklock Meth Party unveiled a beautiful EP called Mar 66 that is available via Bandcamp. Auckland duo Carb On Carb shared the lead single from their forthcoming self-titled debut album. And The Eversons unveiled the tounge-in-cheek first single from their upcoming record Stuck In New Zealand. And further abroad, we were excited to discover that Blur have announced their first album in 12 years and revealed the first single with a cute wee video. In a bold move, JEFF The Brotherhood exclaimed their delight at being dropped from Warner Bros label and unveiled a new track from their upcoming record. And Canadian punks Metz announced their sophomore album METZ II and shared the raucous cut 'Acetate'.

This week's Caught Live is the legendary Faith No More, who performed terrifying new song 'Cone Of Shame' live in Tokyo *swoon*...
