Luke Buda – Vesuvius out next week
Ok so we’ll tell you more about the album when it is released – next week on Tuesday 28th of October…but in the meantime we advise you to: 1. Check out the video for the first single, the cheery “My Imminent Demise” (currently number one on the Radioscope ALT charts)…made by Oscar nominated Taika Waititi (Eagle Versus Shark). The video was shot in three hours of madness and cost a couple of beers and a sensual massage 2. Visit RESN’s award winning (FWA Site of the Day no less!) website for Luke, which is finally online! Check it out… maybe a little creepy but certainly cool…see if you can take out the Pterodactyls.

The Bats – The Guilty Office out on Arch Hill soon!
That’s right, one of New Zealand’s best known and most loved bands will be releasing their 7th studio album on Arch Hill on 1st December. If you go to the USA and ask any college radio listener or New Zealand music geek what their favorite NZ bands are, you can be pretty confident the Bats will be high on their list. The new album is definitely super good and if you want to hear the first single, Castle Lights, lush with strings and harp, head over to the Bats Myspace page ! More on the Bats shortly, including tour details and all....plus there is always plenty of new info at The Bats website

Don McGlashan Show of Hands soundtrack and offshore shows
Arch Hill are super pleased to be releasing the Show of Hands movie soundtrack composed and recorded by Don and featuring the voice talents of artists like Anika Moa, Reb Fountain and others. Check out the film trailer here …We’ve seen it and the movie is ace....we'll tell you more about it all shortly. The movie opens on November 13th in New Zealand.

Howe Gelb – with White Swan Black Swan
Yep, it might not be our show but we highly recommend the man hailed as an alt-county pioneer with his band Giant Sand…last time he played in New Zealand it was a top notch show with many an unexpected improvisational twist. Supported by White Swan Black Swan in Auckland and apparently it IS still possible to get tickets from Real Groovy or otherwise from the door.

- Thursday 23rd October Dunedin - Sammies - Support from the Alpha State
- Friday 24th October Wellington - SFBH - Support from Manimanima
- Saturday 25th October Auckland 420 - Support from White Swan Black Swan
…and if you wanna, check out White Swan Black Swan on Nightline

<> And of course don’t forget about the following shows…
