Organik_ism_ness
New Zealand Drum and Bass, Dubstep and electronica producer Organiksimness, aka Harry Bretherton, has been crafting his hybrid sound of sonically raw, organic, digital music for over a decade now and has seen releases on labels such as Protogen, Mindtek, Extent, Anomaly, Optimus Gryme, Empathy and Betamorph recordings. Throughout this time Organikismness has also released 2 full length albums; Touche and the Web that has no weaver on his own imprint Organikismness recordings.
As a Dj or more rightfully titled a musician Organikismness has played extensively throughout New Zealand and Australia alongside some of the biggest names in the industry such as Dub FX, Kryptic Minds, Black Sun Empire, Klute, The Mad professor, Pendulum (Live), Diesel Boy, Spor, Noisia, D Bridge, Andy C, Goldie, Benga, Skream, Caspa, Distance, Pitch Black and Shapeshifter among many others. This in itself is a massive achievement as an artist, not to mention the fact that Organikismness is one of only a handful of Djs worldwide that plays nothing but his own music. I havnt played a tune I didnt write in close to 6 years now this hinting to the standard of production and performance you can expect from an artist seen by many as one of the most talented and diverse producers to come out of New Zealand to date.
2010 sees the release of Form in Motion on Bassweight recordings. Form in Motion is Harrys first album as a solo artist and is truly a great example of a full spectrum sound and a multi genre album like none before it. Watch out for the album in all good record and online stores April 1st and the Form in Motion Live tour heading throughout New Zealand, Australia, Europe and Asia later this year.
