Gig Information

New artists Yule and Dear Time’s Waste are joining forces for a national tour in May. It will be the first time both bands have taken to the road to promote their respective debut CDs.

Dear Times Waste
Born from sleepy disillusionment with life in Auckland’s leafy suburbs, Dear Time’s Waste paints an aural picture of soft water colour with a grey wash of light that is – according to one listener – ‘akin to a morning orgasm’. After six solid months recording at producer Djeisan Suskov’s home (a rambling old house that was once a hospice for the elderly), Dear Time’s Waste's debut EP Room for Rent is emerging from the earth shaking the soil from its limbs.

The first single Clandestine is already a firm bNet favourite, and with a live show that conjurs spellbinding musical dreams, Dear Time’s Waste is an artist to become familiar with. Dear Time’s Waste has played with: Woelv (Canada), Jim White & John Doe (US), Cut off Your Hands, Don McGlashan So So Modern, Rodney Fisher (Goodshirt).

Yule
Yule was formed in early 2008 to support the release of front man Yule's debut CD Aaaarrrggh!!! later in the year. Bringing to life and adding nitrous oxide to the already high powered and innovative music that Yule created as a solo artist, the band experience is unlike anything else on the shores of the New Zealand Isles. Yule mixes disparate influences from across the spectrum of popular music in a focused and energetic way.

Since the release of Aaaarrrggh!!! Yule has performed live on national television as well as at the Pasifika Festival in Auckland that attracted around 200,000 people. Each show has attracted a new dedicated (often slightly crazed) following and now it is time to let the rest of the country in on the secret.

The Tour
Both Dear Time’s Waste and Yule are brimming with anticipation at the prospect of playing to new audiences and old friends across the nation at the following times and places:

14 May Dux de Lux, Queenstown
15 May ReFuel, Dunedin w/ Onanon
16 May Wunderbar, Lyttelton w/ Ragamuffin Children
23 May Mighty Mighty, Wellington w/ Little Pictures & Seth Frightening
30 May Dogs Bollix w/ Special Guests
