Pitch n' Faders duo Matt Empyre and Nick Hape are back once again with (((HIGH CALIBRE)))
DANNYBOY
Although he is now Sydney based with his beautiful family, Dannyboy is one of the elder statesmen of NZ club culture and his roots run far deeper than most in our scene as a whole. His inception into djing came at the early age of 14 and he immediately took to it going from strength to strength delving into all facets of the craft. From owning one of the most successful record stores in the country and running it’s sister radio station (FIRM Records & FIRM FM) to playing all the major festivals such as The Gathering, Unity and Destination he not only thrived in the scene but it became a lifestyle for him for many a year.
Based in Wellington he was a household name and held longstanding residencies at every club and party, from Tatou, Vurtigo and Sandwiches to Fevah, Dark Forces and Hullabaloo. There are few parts of the industry he didn’t touch either with constant aural sorties to Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown to support the likes of Austin Leeds, Lucien Foort, John Digweed, Derrick Carter, Inland Knights and the never-ending list goes on.
Pitch n’ Faders are super excited to have Dannyboy join us for what will no doubt be an epic night! Ink Bar is in for something special!
Never taking themselves too seriously you can expect a mix of older and fresh cuts of everything 4/4. Tech, Techno, Acid, Prog, Deep, Tribal, it’s all fair game for these three as they track their own paths in the groove.
