On the 24th of June, Wellington industrial techno diehards Duo Alias descend upon Aucklands Whammy Bar to celebrate their latest LP, released on renowned Irish label Variance.

Theyre bringing us a hard as nails live set. Prepare to sweat. Samari will be slamming out dark, tough Berlin sounds in support, preceded by KRM of Twin Digits, who will be opening the night with an array of esoteric tracks.

Dont be a dick to anyone.

Duo Alias are a live techno and DJ duo from Wellington, New Zealand, comprising of Ross Dutton (Feedback) and Seb Pepping (Maxi Boost)

At the end of 2014 Duo Alias released their first album, Learning Curve. Since then they have gone on to release tracks on Samaris Construct Digital and industrial techno label Raven Sigh in Canada, as well as a few self releases in between.

Duo Alias have been busy producing dark aggressive techno since their formation and their hard work has paid off. They are happy to announce their album “Second Sight” has just been released on the respected Irish label “Variance”, who have an array of techno heavyweights already signed, with the likes of Ansome (arguably the most exciting live act in Europe currently) and Keepsakes from Auckland.

Their live set is ever changing and unique, filled with dark rhythms and heavily distorted bass.

New Zealand born Samari has been rocking dance floors for almost 10 years, playing alongside some of the biggest names in techno throughout this time. Launching in Wellington in 2006 with
the infamous Electroluxxe parties before transferring to Melbourne and playing through the techno underground. He then went on to Berlin where he played through Germany, France and Belgium.

During this time he has seen the release of his Debut EP “Termin” on Coffee AM Records, performed both DJ and AV sets across Europe while transmitting his show Construct Radio out of Budapest and online through his affiliated label Art Style Techno.
2015 saw the release of his Advance EP on Art Style Techno records, to high acclaim with a follow up remix on Paroxysm Records for Hallion.

Samari is currently based in New Zealand working on new releases, building the techno scene in his home country and avoiding the upcoming armageddon currently taking hold of the world.

Techno power boy and all round nice guy KRM will be warming up the night. Hes making a name for himself as someone bringing together techno in this fine land.
