Fairly Obvious are a progressive pop-punk band from Taupō, New Zealand, blending big hooks, driving guitars and restless energy. Originally formed as a covers band, Fairly Obvious shifted gears in 2025, writing a full set of original material in just six weeks after landing an opening slot for a national act. That burst of momentum kick-started work on their debut album and in January 2026, they released their debut single Picnic Holiday, setting the tone with catchy melodies and fast, no-nonsense rhythms. The band has since appeared on the Taupō leg of the 2026 Summer Concert Tour, sharing the bill with Zed, Iggy Pop and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts.

Say Or Do is a four-piece hard alt-rock band from Hawke’s Bay, blending atmospheric textures with powerful riffs and a strong melodic edge. Their sound moves between lush ambience and high-gain lead tones, creating a dynamic and immersive experience. Groove-driven bass lines and tight, high-energy drums add movement and energy, while gritty yet melodic vocals bring raw emotion to the mix.
Their debut EP, 'Shifting Paradigms,' dropped May 2025, which saw Say Or Do continue to evolve their sound - balancing vibe, intensity, and musicianship in a way that’s both fresh and familiar.
After clocking up over 90k streams on Shifting Paradigms, and making noise across the North Island, the band has been busy cooking up new tunes - ready for your ears in 2026.
