Gig Information

Serpent Dream is the duo of Kelda Morris and Dusty - an evolving project that explores the intersections between ambient, classical, folk and sound art to offer emotive experiences. They have a large repertoire of original music to draw from and curate their sets to suit the intended audience.

Kelda Morris is an accomplished violinist who trained classically in both Aotearoa and Austria, and has extensive orchestral experience. With an interest in Russian romantic style playing, and klezmer music, she has recently expanded her skillset to perform with various folk, ambient, experimental, postrock and metal bands, and also explores production and vocals.

Dusty is a self-taught musician and acoustic guitar player with roughly 10 years experience as composer, performer and producer. Their solo acoustic music has been described as serene, haunting, and trance-inducing. Dusty is known for their unique blend of finger-style guitar playing, melancholy tinged lyrics and atmospheric sound design, fusing these elements into unique and emotive audio journeys.

Marlēné Claudine Radice is an Australian composer who specialises in notated electroacoustic composition by exploring how art and sound compliment one another. Taking recorded sounds away from their original sources, they process and manipulate these into new musical structures. Raw industrial noises, looped voices and hypnotic soundscapes are layered to create a nuanced and original sound. Marlēné is a trained physical theatre performer and a passionate advocate for queer youth arts education and inclusive theatre practices. They are a lead facilitator for Rebus Theatre’s iDrama classes for adults with intellectual disabilities and have been a facilitator for their annual Acting Out: On Screen Queer youth holiday course since 2023. Outside of their work as a composer and teacher Marlēné has worked as a field recorder primarily specialising in archiving Indigenous Australian songlines. They are currently co-producer and music director for The Seeing Place; a contemporary theatre company they co-founded in 2023.

Box Of Hammers is the solo ambient project of John Kingston, based on painterly use of guitar tones and drones.
