We're lucky enough to have a visitor from Wellington swing by The Backroom on her way to Sigur Ros while she's in Auckland. EDIE began as the solo project of vocalist/producer Anna Edgington and has recently has been joined by drummer Thomas Friggens to put out some pretty exciting new tunes just for you. Soaring vocal lines. Agitated beats. Trip hoppy dream pop and maybe, if you're lucky, Chris Isaak cover. It's good shit.

Him is an experimental folk artist who brings together a visceral and haunting performance with electrical meanderings, looping, guitar, voice and other instruments to draw a scene most mysterious, bold and watery.
