Grout has a little Whammy Backroom residency to wrap up 2017 and we're kicking it off with some cool cats showing of some new tunes.
Dbldbl has just knocked it out the park with a cheeky Red bull Sound Select appearance and his new single 'Mr Nice' is currently sitting atop the 95bFM charts at #1. Come celebrate the with the nicest dude in NZ hip hop.
As former NZ cricketer Ewen 'Naenae Express' Chatfield has always said, The Naenae Express are the perfect band to warm us up for summer with their swirly, jangly, psych-pop. Good times are line-and-length for these guys and, yes, we realise cricket references probably don't work on a music crowd but it's a rare opportunity.
Thousand Island is a delicious salad dressing and also a delicious new band on the block. They describe themselves as panini rock with a mayogaze dressing and if that doesn't have you (and Paula Bennett) hooked, then who knows what'll do it.
And a real treat for you. Trapjaw Kelpie has been working on some new tunes in colabboration with the mystical Strongarm and they had this to say: I'm gonna dance.
