Gig Information

Live gig, raising funds for #StandWithPike: supporting the families and community hit by the Pike River mining tragedy.

This year is the 8th anniversary of the mine disaster, and we're Standing With Pike by doing what we do best, making music and bringing people together for a night of rock, folk, and other genre-blending mixes of tunes.

Live music from NorwayMaine, The Emitters, Members of the Public, with a DJ set from Toppa. All proceeds from the door sales will be donated to Stand With Pike.

NorwayMaine is a five piece HootenanyFolkPop otfit based in Auckland and made up of Nat, Julia, Matt, Joel and Cam. They've written and are about to release a song based on the Pike River 29 and the event that changed a community, and all proceeds from the sale of the song will be going to Stand With Pike group to support the families and community affected.

The song, Waves, will be played live for the first time at this gig.

The Emitters are a 2 piece rock outfit taking the essence of 90's punk/grunge/rock and unashamedly making the same amount of noise as a band of many. Their unique guitar set up coupled with live Drums and harmonised vocal trickery provide a full on but back to basics onslaught of rock n roll goodness.

Members of the Public are ready to bring their own brand of old school real-time instrumentalism and melody blended with meaningful lyrics and punchy rock riffs to town on the 30th, and make it count for this special fundraising gig.
