Coastal Promotions is extremely proud to present: Rolling Deep (A Showcase Of Drum And Bass)

After a highly successful Heavy Rollers tour in 2018, which saw lineups stacked with the finest acts in student Drum and Bass sell out shows across Wellington, Dunedin, Christchurch and Auckland, Coastal Promotions take it up a notch for 2019. Diversification is key! so we return with a new name and have sourced a number of new first-class DJ’s in student DnB from all corners of New Zealand.

Rolling Deep kick starts in Wellington, the birthplace of Heavy Rollers and Coastal Promotions. To stick to the mentality of expansion, We have upgraded to a large capacity venue by securing the Legendary Meow, the sister venue of Caroline where Heavy Rollers 1 took place. This is truly the start of something special! With a stellar lineup of local and national underground DJ’s, new and improved production and the first leg of the 4 show Rolling Deep tour which will commence throughout 2019. If you are a fan of Coastal Promotions and want to go back to where it all started, this is the one show you need to see.

Tickets go live at 6.00 pm on Wednesday 13th February! Available from Just The Ticket.

Lineup

DowDz
DowDz of Totara Records is a liquid legend who draws on a myriad of tunes to produce a unique melodic sound. He is known for versatility and crafting a set that appeals to all members of the crowd. He makes his long-awaited return to Wellington headlining Rolling Deep after 2 killer sets here in 2018. DowDz was there from the very start with Heavy Rollers 1, so it is an honour to have him back for the prime time slot at Rolling Deep 1.

Shortball
Hailing from Christchurch, Ed ‘Shortball’ Hone has recently cemented his name in the New Zealand Drum and Bass Scene. The kid’s born and bread on CDJs and knows how to keep the people partying! His last 3 years in Dunedin have seen talent discovered in UniCol flats, evolve into a more serious pursuit. Having now supported world-class acts such as Danny Byrd, Tokyo Prose, Annix, DC Breaks, Loadstar, Rene LaVice & Bensley, he’s also performed in support of many local legends including Trei, Truth, and State of Mind. A member of Half Time Oranges since it’s inception, recent times have seen him touring the country as part of the formidable Coastal Collective. This will be Shortballs second headline performance in the capital!

Chop’D UP
This Auckland/Wellington duo are well known in the local music/event scene having played numerous venues across Wellington. They have opened up for Logistics, Delta Heavy, Fred V and Grafix, Skeptical and the Prototypes. They are the third and final act holding down headlining duties for the night. They will perform an unforgettable B2B set that is reminiscent of duos such as Camo and Krooked, however still keeping that classic Chop’D UP sound.

Worthy
Coastal Promotions Founder & C.E.O and 1 of 2 Drum & Bass resident DJ’s at Wellington Club 121, Worthy is well known in the Wellington Drum and Bass scene. He has supported the likes of Dimension, Culture Shock, Skeptical, BCee & LSB and Pola & Bryson within 1 year of performing in the windy city. He is known for performing a range of music and styles with a focus on the heavier side of Drum and Bass. Beyond excited for his first performance at Meow, he will be on main support duties with Coastal co-founder Elisara.

Elisara
Coastal Promotions second in command and one of the baddest selectas to arise in Wellington in 2018, Elisara has been absolutely killing it ever since his first live performance at Heavy Rollers 1. Elisara is recognised for a range of deep and dark Drum and Bass reminiscent of Soup’d UP Records & 1985 Music. He has opened for the likes of Bcee & LSB, Dimension, Culture Shock and Annix to name a few.

Noyer
Noyer is a DJ/Producer based in Wellington, New Zealand. His clean mixing and unique selection has earned him some recognition in Welly circles and has seen him support some talented kiwi artists such as Raiza Biza, Team Dynamite, Haz Beats, Jay Knight, Surly, Badcrop, Ryan Hendriks, Mild Orange & more. Noyer has been putting work into his own production throughout the past year and is looking to branch out into other genres, Expect to hear some smooth sounds, modern flavours and even a few original pieces from a young up and comer with an immense passion for music

WillyMav B2B Myloh
An electrifying duo hailing from New Zealand’s city of sails, Milan Cook-Kendall and Willy Harman joined forces in 2017. WillyMav has been in the game for a number of years, starting off welding kickdrums to basslines, forged on a trusty mac in a basement somewhere since 2012. Milan and Willy have since thrived in Wellington’s drum & bass scene with Milan under the pseudonym MYLOH and Willy as WillyMAV. Drawing on the sounds of deep liquid and dark minimal, The duo brings a unique flavour that carefully reflects their pursuit into a niche of d&b. They have opened for international artists BCee, LSB, Aniix and Skeptical. They are about to surface their debut in production: soon to be released exclusively through Totara Records.
