Returning to the Auckland gig circuit for the first time since January and following a sold-out September show at Wellington’s Meow, Molly & The Chromatics have developed their jazz/funk/pop fusion sound via extensive touring and slots at festivals including Rhythm & Vines, Bay Dreams, Soundsplash, Outfield Festival, Le Currents and Tora Bombora.
With two successful EP’s under their belt, a debut album planned for early 2021 is now on the horizon. 'Hold Tight' is the second single from the upcoming project and draws influences from the likes of Jungle and Tom Misch. The track packages the group’s vocals, horns and rhythm section into an undeniable groover, a new sound reflecting the band’s growth and development over recent years.
