6 months ago, Blunt dog played their first ever gig, at Auckland's Wine Cellar.
At this show, the room swelled with bemused and puzzled faces on Auckland's slowcore intelligentsia. Who were those rabid rockers? How can I get more?
An auspicious year it has been. A string of shows in Wellington followed their debut; the band condensing and intensifying their reflective, emotive, and potent live show.
Their debut album fell out of the Pōneke woodworks a couple months ago, winning a hot response across the country, with their noodle recipe reaching number 1 on bFM. You should listen to it in full.
It was only a matter of time before Blunt dog came and gave a show for the lo-fi literati of Tāmaki Makaurau. They will be joined by their friends, the lit new folk rock locals Big Sur. There will also be a special set from Auckland's most prolific folk post-rock lizard, László Reynolds!!
We are excited to play Underground on Saturday 21 October!
